Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging daily lessons across literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies for primary grade levels.
- Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments; maintain accurate records.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and respects cultural differences.
- Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs through differentiation and scaffolding.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and align curriculum, interventions, and special education supports.
- Communicate regularly with families; provide timely feedback and conduct parent conferences.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance understanding and motivation.
- Model and reinforce positive behavior, establish routines, and maintain a safe, orderly classroom.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field; valid teaching license or eligibility to obtain one in Oregon.
- Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience with elementary students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state standards and child development principles.
- Excellent classroom management, organization, and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to inclusive education and differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and assessment.
