Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging literacy and numeracy lessons aligned to the Australian Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, resilience, and positive behavior.
- Assess student progress using formal and informal tools; provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including support for students with additional learning requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary unit plans and shared assessment tasks.
- Integrate ICT and evidence-based teaching practices to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Engage with families and the wider school community to support student development and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to student reports, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching credential with Primary Education specialization.
- Current or eligible registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or applicable Australian teaching authority.
- Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience in a Primary School setting (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across key domains.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education, differentiation strategies, and assessment literacy.
- Proficiency with classroom technology and data-driven instructional practices.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) or eligibility for clearance in Australia; willingness to obtain required clearances.
