Job description
Micron Semiconductors is hiring a Principal Engineer – Process Development, Thin Film (CVD/Diffusion) to advance NAND manufacturing in Singapore. This role leads the design, development, and deployment of high-performance thin‑film deposition processes, empowering next‑generation memory products. You will work at the intersection of materials science, chemical engineering, and manufacturing, shaping process recipes, materials selection, and equipment strategies to deliver robust yields, tight process controls, and exceptional reliability.
As a senior technical leader, you will own process development roadmaps, drive DOE experiments, analyze complex data, and partner with equipment suppliers and wafer fabrication teams to transfer processes from pilot to full production. You will mentor engineers and technicians, build cross‑functional teams, and influence product and production decisions with data‑driven insights. You will champion safety, quality, and environmental standards while continuously seeking improvements in cycle time, contamination control, and cost of ownership.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with process integration, metrology, and manufacturing to scale thin‑film CVD and diffusion processes for NAND devices; developing robust recipes, process controls, and in‑situ monitoring; and delivering measurable improvements in yield, device performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of semiconductor engineers.
