Job description
Join Altius Hospital in Jakarta Barat as a Procurement Intern and support the procurement team in vendor research, vendor evaluation, and supplier onboarding. This internship provides hands on exposure to the end to end procurement process within a healthcare setting, from supplier discovery to purchase execution. You will work closely with procurement professionals to research potential vendors, collect market data, and support the evaluation of supplier capabilities. In addition to learning best practices in vendor selection and cost analysis, you will help maintain accurate supplier records and ensure procurement activities align with hospital policies, compliance standards, and ethical sourcing guidelines. During the internship you will assist with vendor qualification, RFQs and RFPs, bid analysis, and the creation of purchase orders. You will track delivery times, monitor stock levels in collaboration with the warehouse team, and contribute to cost saving initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers and negotiating favorable terms. You will also prepare procurement reports and present your findings to the team, gaining exposure to vendor negotiations, contract basics, and supplier performance measurement. Responsibility
- Conduct vendor research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate capabilities
- Assist in issuing and evaluating RFQs/RFPs and preparing bid analyses
- Help create and manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier onboarding records
- Maintain accurate vendor master data and supplier performance metrics
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to support inventory planning and stock levels
- Monitor pricing, lead times, and market trends to support cost saving initiatives
- Prepare procurement reports and present findings to the team
Qualification
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in supply chain, business administration, logistics, or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Google Sheets is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Indonesian
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract terms
- Proactive, curious, and ethical approach to sourcing and data privacy
