In this full-time role, you will partner with artists, designers, and development staff to produce high-quality productions across seasons, while cultivating a vibrant and inclusive artistic community in New York.

As a strategic leader, you will drive programmatic excellence, steward resources, and build partnerships with venues, funders, and audiences to elevate our work on stage and beyond.

Responsibility

  • Lead seasonal planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management to ensure on-time, on-budget productions.
  • Oversee artistic programming in collaboration with the Artistic Director, ensuring high artistic quality and relevance.
  • Manage production teams, contractors, venues, and licensing contracts from development to delivery.
  • Lead fundraising, sponsorship outreach, and grant initiatives to sustain programs and growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Education teams to design audience development strategies and community engagement.
  • Monitor compliance with unions, safety protocols, and licensing requirements across all projects.
  • Build enduring relationships with artists, venues, donors, and community partners to expand opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, interns, and volunteers to foster a creative, inclusive environment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in arts administration, theatre, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of producing/production management experience in performing arts or live events.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, fundraising, and stakeholder management with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with project management tools, CRM systems, and theater management software.
  • Knowledge of union contracts, venue operations, and safety compliance.
