StellarStage Collective is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to lead the execution of high-caliber performances in a fast-paced, artist-centric environment in Los Angeles. You will oversee all technical, logistical, and administrative aspects of productions from rehearsal to final performance, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining creative integrity.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end production planning including schedules, resources, and milestone tracking for all performances.
  • Manage production budgets, monitor expenses, and authorize vendor agreements to stay within approved costs.
  • Coordinate with directors, designers, stage managers, and artists to ensure artistic intent is realized on stage.
  • Oversee technical teams (lighting, sound, set construction, rigging) and safety compliance across venues.
  • Schedule rehearsals, tech rehearsals, travel logistics, and on-site operations during performances.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues, crews, and vendors; ensure accurate paperwork and insurance coverage.
  • Develop risk assessments, safety protocols, and contingency plans for all shows.
  • Lead post-performance wrap-up, reporting, and archival documentation for producers and funders.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Theatre Production, Communications, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in production management within theatre, dance, or performing arts organizations.
  • Strong budgeting and financial acumen with experience managing multi-venue productions.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with artists, crews, and venues.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and stage management software; familiarity with CAD or venue software is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations; ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems quickly.
  • Ability to travel within the greater LA area and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Proven vendor negotiation and contract management experience.
