Aurora Theatre Collective is hiring a proactive and creative Production Stage Manager to lead our upcoming season in London. This role blends meticulous organization with artistic collaboration to deliver exceptional performances.

As the Production Stage Manager, you will call cues, coordinate rehearsals, manage show documentation, and oversee safety and logistics across productions. You will work closely with the Director, Designers, and Creative Team to ensure seamless stage operations from tech rehearsals through final performance.

Responsibility

  • Lead all aspects of show calling, cueing, and timing for performances.
  • Coordinate rehearsals, call sheets, and communications with cast and crew.
  • Oversee load-in/load-out, tech rehearsals, and strike with safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain and update show documentation, including prompt books, cue sheets, and run lists.
  • Collaborate with Directors, Designers, and Stage Crew to maintain artistic integrity and smooth transitions.
  • Monitor health and safety practices, complete risk assessments, and enforce theatre safety protocols.
  • Provide leadership and support to on-site teams during performances and technical cues.

Qualification

  • Minimum 4 years of professional stage management experience in theatre or live performance.
  • Proven ability to lead a production team and manage under pressure with grace and clarity.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of theatre health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and on-site safety.
  • Proficiency with show control software (e.g., QLab, Vectorworks, ETC) and standard office tools.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and extended rehearsal periods as needed.
  • Experience working with unions and strong professional relationships with cast and crew.
