Lumina Training Solutions is seeking a seasoned Professional Training Specialist to design, deliver, and optimize programs that elevate skill levels across our corporate client base and internal teams. This role combines instructional design with live and virtual training delivery, blending theory with practical application to drive measurable performance. Based in San Francisco, CA, you will partner with stakeholders to create scalable, engaging learning experiences that align with business goals.
As a key member of our Learning & Development team, you will leverage your expertise to craft curricula, develop eLearning modules, and deliver high-impact sessions to diverse audiences.
Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of training programs and curricula for various business units.
- Deliver engaging live and virtual trainings to small and large groups, adapting to audience needs.
- Perform needs assessments and gap analyses to identify skill deficits and performance opportunities.
- Author and maintain compelling eLearning modules using authoring tools and an LMS.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using metrics, surveys, and on-the-job performance data, and iterate accordingly.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and participant communications to ensure smooth program execution.
- Stay current with learning trends and regulatory requirements to maintain best-in-class programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of corporate training or instructional design experience, with a track record of measurable impact.
- Strong proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and needs assessment.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs concurrently.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; certifications such as CPLP or ATD are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% if required.
