Beacon University's School of Theology invites applications for a full-time professor of Theology. The successful candidate will teach courses across foundational and advanced theology, biblical studies, and ethics; supervise student research; contribute to curriculum development; publish scholarly work; and participate in community outreach and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Theology or a closely related field and demonstrate a strong record of teaching excellence and scholarly productivity. Responsibility
- Teach undergraduate and graduate theology courses across core and elective areas
- Develop and update curricula, including online and hybrid formats
- Supervise theses, capstones, and student research projects
- Conduct and publish scholarly research in theology and related fields
- Participate in department governance, committees, and program development
- Engage with local churches, ecumenical partners, and community organizations
- Mentor a diverse student body and contribute to inclusive teaching practices
Qualification
- PhD in Theology or closely related field; ABD with expected completion acceptable
- Evidence of outstanding classroom teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Strong publication record and active research agenda
- Experience with curriculum design and innovative pedagogies, including online teaching
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to contribute to interfaith and ecumenical initiatives
