As a Project Engineer, you will drive technical proposals and oversee end-to-end project execution for mission-critical oil and gas installations across the Asia Pacific region. In this position, you will partner with sales, product specialists, and commissioning teams to translate customer needs into robust, compliant solutions. You will manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change control while upholding the highest safety and quality standards in line with industry codes and mechanical electrical practices.
Autronica's fire and gas detection platforms are deployed across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. You will be accountable for technical design reviews, bill of materials generation, proposal preparation, and technical presentations to customers and auditors. You will coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery, commissioning readiness, and seamless handover to operations.

Responsibility
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals and bid documentation for fire and gas detection projects in APAC.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and resource requirements; monitor progress and adjust plans to meet scope, time, and cost targets.
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure on time delivery and successful handover.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes such as NFPA 72, EN 54, IEC 61508/61511, API 520/521, and ATEX/IECEx where applicable.
- Manage relationships with customers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors; conduct design reviews and respond to RFIs and RFPs.
- Oversee BOM generation, change management, and documentation control for all projects.
- Support site activities including FAT/SAT, commissioning, and field installation planning as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline; master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with fire and gas detection systems in the oil and gas sector.
- Proven project management experience; PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Strong technical writing and proposal development skills with the ability to present to customers and auditors.
- Solid knowledge of applicable standards and codes such as NFPA 72, EN 54, IEC 61508/61511, API 520/521, ATEX/IECEx.
- Proficiency in CAD and engineering tools; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willing to travel within APAC as required.
- Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
