Warran Technology is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to lead electrical/electronic projects from concept through commissioning. Based in Malaysia, you will join a dynamic engineering team delivering innovative solutions for diverse industries. In this role, you will coordinate technical planning, risk assessment, and supplier engagement while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. You will partner with hardware and software teams, translate customer requirements into detailed specifications, and manage documentation such as BOMs, test plans, and installation procedures. A strong focus on communication and problem solving will help you deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.

Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end project engineering activities for electrical/electronic systems from concept to commissioning.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, procurement, and QA, to meet project milestones.
- Develop and maintain project plans, technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage risk assessment, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and cost.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to capture requirements, provide progress updates, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor project progress, budget, schedule, and resource allocation; deliver regular reports to stakeholders.
- Support installation, commissioning, and post-installation activities to ensure a smooth handover to operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements (safety, EMC, IEC/IEEE where relevant).
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on project engineering experience with electrical/electronic systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, circuitry, and control systems; experience with PLC/SCADA is a plus.
- Proficiency with engineering CAD tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or equivalent) and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; ability to collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in the Kajang/Bangi/Serdang area with potential travel as required.
- Fluent in English; Malay language skills are advantageous.
