Turner & Townsend invites a results-driven Project Quality Assurance Lead to join our Kuala Lumpur team. This is a senior, client-facing role responsible for leading QA across Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) projects. You will shape QA strategy, establish standards, and ensure project outcomes meet safety, quality and performance targets in a dynamic, global consultancy environment.

As a Project Quality Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for implementing robust QA programs that protect project quality, schedule, and budget while meeting regulatory and client requirements. You will partner with project controls, engineering, procurement and construction teams to drive quality from planning through closeout. The role calls for hands-on leadership, proactive risk management, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

Join a leading global consultancy where your quality leadership will influence MRO initiatives across sectors. You will have access to development opportunities, network with global experts, and work on high-profile projects that require rigorous governance, rigorous testing, and a culture of safety and excellence.

Responsibility

  • Lead the development and execution of the Quality Assurance plan for MRO projects, ensuring compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain QA governance, procedures, inspection regimes, and audit schedules across all project phases.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and subcontractors to drive QA activities, manage non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage QA risk registers, perform root cause analysis, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Oversee supplier and subcontractor quality assurance, including prequalification, audits, and performance reviews.
  • Serve as client liaison on QA matters, provide status reporting, and ensure transparent communication of quality metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality assurance team, ensuring skill development and succession planning.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality assurance within construction, MRO, or maintenance environments.
  • Professional certification such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, PMP, or Chartered Engineer is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of QA standards, risk management, and quality control processes.
  • Experience with audits, inspections, non-conformance management, and corrective actions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Residency or willingness to travel to project sites; fluent in English (Malay language skills are a plus).
