Avon Industies Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive Project Site Engineer to join our team in Changi West, East Region. In this role, you will drive successful project delivery through technical expertise, effective team coordination, rigorous safety practices, and meticulous quality execution. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget, and to-spec project outcomes across civil, industrial, or mechanical projects.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience supervising site activities, reading structural drawings, and applying quality control procedures on a dynamic construction site. You will monitor daily progress, manage site documentation, crane and equipment usage, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibility
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities and supervise subcontractors to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Review drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- Monitor safety practices, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce site safety rules to minimize risk.
- Track progress, manage site documentation, and report daily progress to project management.
- Issue and manage non-conformance reports and coordinate corrective actions on site.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, and handover activities; support as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Support project controls with cost and time impact assessments for on-site changes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline; or Diploma with strong site experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on site experience in construction or engineering projects.
- Strong ability to read drawings, specs, and implement quality control procedures; familiarity with industry standards.
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations and ability to lead toolbox talks and ensure on-site compliance.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; proven track record working with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with site documentation systems, MS Office, and basic project management tools; AutoCAD or Bluebeam is a plus.
- Fluent in English and able to work within Singapore's construction environment with awareness of local regulations.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
