Join Aurora Public Health Institute, a leading non-profit advancing population health across communities. We are seeking a results-driven Public Health Analyst to design, analyze, and translate data into actionable strategies that improve health equity and access.
In this role, you will collaborate with epidemiologists, policymakers, and community partners to implement evidence-based interventions, monitor program performance, and communicate insights to diverse stakeholders. You will contribute to program evaluation, dashboards, and policy briefs that inform strategic decisions and funding opportunities.
Responsibility
- Design and manage data collection systems to monitor core health indicators across populations.
- Conduct advanced analyses (descriptive statistics, regression, survival analysis) to inform program decisions.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports for leadership and partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate findings into actionable interventions.
- Support program evaluation activities, track outcomes, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure data governance, privacy, and ethical use of health information.
- Translate technical results into clear policy briefs and stakeholder communications.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of public health data analysis, surveillance, or program evaluation experience.
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python or R; data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI).
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex results to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with health equity concepts and policy analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance and privacy regulations (HIPAA, de-identification).
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
