We are seeking a Public Health Analyst to join our Boston-based team and contribute to high-impact programs that improve population health outcomes across diverse communities.
As a Public Health Analyst, you will transform public health data into actionable insights, support program evaluation, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to influence policy and practice. This role offers a clear path to growth, mentorship from seasoned public health leaders, and the opportunity to work on projects that serve communities with disproportionate health burdens.
Responsibility
- Design and execute analyses of population health indicators, surveillance data, and program outcomes to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that communicate complex findings to policymakers, funders, and program staff.
- Translate epidemiological results into practical recommendations for program design, implementation, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with epidemiologists, data scientists, and program managers to plan evaluations and measure impact across multiple grants.
- Conduct data quality audits, ensure data privacy compliance, and implement governance best practices.
- Prepare technical memoranda, policy briefs, and stakeholder-ready summaries for diverse audiences.
- Support grant reporting, budget forecasting, and strategic planning related to public health interventions.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a closely related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on public health data analysis, surveillance, or program evaluation.
- Proficiency in SQL; strong experience with R or Python for data analysis; familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
- Solid knowledge of epidemiology concepts, study design, bias assessment, and interpretation of results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data privacy, HIPAA or equivalent regulations, and data governance practices.
- Strong collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
