Harborview Public Health Institute is seeking a motivated Public Health Analyst to advance population health initiatives through data-driven insights, policy analysis, and collaborative program design. Responsibility
- Design and implement data collection plans to monitor population health indicators.
- Conduct epidemiological analyses to identify risk factors and health outcomes across populations.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights for policymakers, clinicians, and community partners.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and provide evidence-based recommendations for program improvement.
- Support grant reporting, budgets, and compliance with funder requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement health interventions.
- Draft policy briefs and position papers to inform local and state health agendas.
- Develop dashboards and data visualizations to communicate findings to nontechnical audiences.
Qualification
- Master degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in public health, health surveillance, or program evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistics and data management (R, SAS, SPSS, or Python).
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with grant writing and evaluation frameworks (logic models, theory of change).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of health equity and population health determinants; passion for community impact.
- Project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
