In this role you will transform complex health data into actionable insights, support program evaluation, and contribute to strategic planning that improves population health.
Responsibility
- Conduct epidemiologic analyses using SQL, R, and Python to inform program design and policy decisions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and reproducible research practices across public health datasets.
- Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for policymakers, program managers, and community partners.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations (Tableau or Power BI) for real-time monitoring and reporting.
- Support grant reporting, budgeting, and monitoring of program outcomes and impact metrics.
- Collaborate with local health departments, academic partners, and community organizations to advance public health initiatives.
- Contribute to written reports, briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in public health data analysis, surveillance, or program evaluation.
- Proficiency with SQL; one or more of R, Python. Experience with dashboards/tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of study design, statistical methods, and data visualization best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with grant reporting, compliance, and knowledge of public health funding streams is a plus.
- Familiarity with U.S. public health systems, policy environment, and community health approaches is preferred.
