\nAs a member of our Public Health Analytics team, you will play a central role in designing and maintaining surveillance systems, analyzing trends, and supporting program evaluation.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and monitor public health surveillance systems to detect emerging health threats.
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends, risk factors, and population health needs.
- Collaborate with local health departments, hospitals, and community organizations to align priorities and share findings.
- Develop data dashboards, interactive visualizations, and routine reports for diverse stakeholders.
- Produce policy briefs and evidence-based recommendations to inform program design and resource allocation.
- Lead program evaluation activities, including metric development, data collection plans, and outcome assessment.
- Ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance with HIPAA and public health ethics.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in public health surveillance, epidemiology, or health informatics.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SAS, R, STATA, or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development.
- Knowledge of data privacy, HIPAA, and ethical considerations in public health research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with GIS and spatial analysis is a plus.
