Join the Boston Public Health Institute as a Public Health Data Analyst and help protect and improve community health through rigorous data analysis, evidence-based insights, and collaborative program design.
In this full-time role, you will translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations, support policy development, and contribute to program evaluations that drive health equity.

Responsibility
- Collect, clean, and analyze public health datasets to identify trends, disparities, and opportunities for intervention.
- Develop reproducible analysis workflows using R and Python; build interactive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
- Collaborate with epidemiologists, clinicians, and policy makers to design, implement, and evaluate health programs.
- Prepare clear briefs, data visualizations, and presentations for senior leadership and external partners.
- Monitor program performance, conduct evaluations, and produce impact reports using robust statistical methods.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards in all analyses.
- Support grant reporting and contribute to manuscript preparation when applicable.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field; MPH/DrPH preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in public health data analysis or epidemiology.
- Strong SQL skills; proficiency in R and/or Python; experience with Tableau or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of study design, biostatistics, and data visualization best practices.
- Experience with health informatics, HIPAA compliance, and data governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with diverse communities and stakeholders.
