BrightPath Public Health Solutions is seeking a data-driven Public Health Data Analyst to join our team in Boston. This role blends epidemiology, data science, and policy insight to improve population health outcomes.
You will design and maintain dashboards, analyze large public health datasets, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for program managers and policymakers.

Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain dashboards to track population health indicators using SQL and visualization tools.
- Clean, merge, and analyze large datasets from public health surveillance systems and EHRs.
- Apply biostatistical methods to assess program impact, disparities, and risk factors.
- Collaborate with program managers, researchers, and policymakers to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Document data sources, analyses, and governance processes to ensure reproducibility.
- Support grant reporting, program evaluation, and research initiatives with rigorous analyses.
- Communicate findings through clear visuals and concise briefs for diverse audiences.
- Contribute to the development of data-informed public health policies and interventions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 3+ years of public health data analysis experience or epidemiology research.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R) for data analysis; experience with Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with health surveillance systems, claims data, or EHR data.
- Strong knowledge of biostatistics, study design, and causal inference basics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organization, project management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
