Job description
Brightline Health Institute is seeking a results-driven Public Health Program Manager to lead community health initiatives in the Boston area. You will oversee program design, implementation, and evaluation, collaborating across public health departments, NGOs, and academic partners to improve population health outcomes.
In this role, you’ll apply evidence-based practices, manage budgets and grants, and translate data into strategic actions for stakeholders, funders, and policymakers. A commitment to health equity and inclusive community engagement is essential.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end design, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs addressing priority health issues and health equity.
- Develop logic models, performance indicators, and evaluation plans; monitor metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Oversee program budgets, grants, and vendor contracts; ensure compliance with funders and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with local health departments, community-based organizations, and academic partners to co-create solutions.
- Translate data into actionable insights; produce dashboards and reports for diverse stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and manage contractors to deliver on program goals.
- Communicate program results, recommendations, and policy implications to funders and public officials.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or related field.
- 5+ years of public health program management, policy, or evaluation experience.
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, R or SAS) and experience with program evaluation methodologies.
- Experience with grant writing, budgeting, and financial management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to engage diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health equity, social determinants of health, and community engagement best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results on tight timelines.
