Horizon Health Institute is seeking a dynamic Public Health Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives that improve community health outcomes in the greater Boston area. This role blends program design, data-driven evaluation, and cross-sector collaboration to advance population health and health equity.
In this role, you will oversee program development, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and grant-funded activities, ensuring alignment with local, state, and federal public health standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled project manager with strong analytical abilities and a passion for advancing health equity.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs addressing chronic disease, infectious disease, vaccination, and health equity.
- Develop logic models, performance metrics, and dashboards to track program outcomes and impact.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, community partners, and funders to ensure timely delivery and sustained impact.
- Translate public health data into actionable policy recommendations and program improvements.
- Lead grant writing, budgeting, and reporting to governmental and philanthropic sponsors.
- Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and privacy requirements in all activities.
- Mentor junior staff and build a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field; MPH preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health program management or a related role.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or similar tools.
- Experience with surveillance systems, data interpretation, and health outcomes measurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with demonstrated grant writing and reporting experience.
- Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and engage diverse communities respectfully.
- Knowledge of equity-focused policy development and health equity best practices.
