NovaTech Precision is a leading manufacturer of high precision components for the aerospace and medical device sectors. We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Specialist to join our growing team in San Jose, CA. You will own inspection processes, collaborate with manufacturing and engineering, and help drive continuous improvement across our production lines.
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will partner with cross functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will leverage data, standards, and best practices to reduce defects and accelerate time to market while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibility
- Execute incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure conformance to drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Maintain inspection records, CMM reports, and SPC data; prepare non conforming reports and coordinate root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Validate measurement procedures; calibrate equipment; maintain calibration records.
- Participate in internal audits and process validations; support supplier quality programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis, Lean tools, and problem solving.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of quality control experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or medical devices.
- Strong knowledge of QC methods, GD&T, inspection techniques, SPC, CAPA, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency with measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs; experience with calibration processes.
- Familiarity with GMP and ISO 9001 standards; experience with QA software and data analysis tools (ERP/MES, Excel, Minitab).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills; ability to train operators and lead audits.
- Ability to read blueprints and multidiscipline documentation and translate requirements into actionable inspection criteria.
