As a Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping quality practices from design through commissioning. You will collaborate with design, construction, safety, procurement, and project management teams to uphold standards, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across multi-disciplinary projects. You will develop and implement quality plans, oversee supplier quality, conduct inspections and audits, and ensure rigorous documentation controls. Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans for railway and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with international standards and client specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and supplier assessments to verify compliance and performance.
- Manage non-conformities, CAPA actions, and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, construction, safety, procurement, and commissioning) to integrate quality at every project phase.
- Review drawings, specifications, test protocols, and change orders to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Ensure robust documentation control, records management, and version control across the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project metrics, KPIs, risk registers, and quality performance; prepare clear reports for stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in railway or heavy infrastructure projects preferred.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and safety standards relevant to rail and construction.
- Experience with problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA) and root-cause analysis.
- Strong documentation, data analysis, and proficiency with quality assurance software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Auxiliary certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma are a plus.
