As a Quantity Surveyor at Hey Rocket, you will oversee financial aspects of civil and infrastructure initiatives from inception to final account. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and external vendors to deliver precise cost estimates, robust measurement, and timely financial reporting. Your contributions will help optimize design decisions, manage risk, and ensure value for money while maintaining compliance with local standards and Hey Rocket’s internal processes.
Key duties include cost planning, preparation of bills of quantities, tender documentation support, contract administration, and change management. You will monitor cash flow, track variations, and support the negotiation of settlements. Responsibility
- Prepare and manage cost planning, measurements, and bills of quantities for civil and infrastructure projects.
- Administer procurement activities, tender processes, and contract administration to protect value.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and manage change orders to safeguard budget and schedule.
- Collaborate with project teams including engineers, architects, and contractors to optimize design and construction methods.
- Produce cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Hey Rocket's QA/QC requirements.
- Support risk assessment, value engineering initiatives, and post-contract financial close.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of practical experience in quantity surveying for civil or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of measurement, costing, budgeting, and tendering processes.
- Experience with contract administration and change management.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Excel; familiarity with CostX, AutoCAD, or BIM tools.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional qualifications such as CQS, MRICS, or equivalent are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
