As a Quantity Surveyor, you will translate drawings and specifications into measurable quantities, advise on cost plans, and support the end-to-end financial management of projects. You will collaborate with project teams to prepare detailed cost estimates, develop and maintain the bill of quantities (BOQ), monitor cash flow forecasts, and contribute to tender preparation. Your responsibilities will also include tracking variations, change orders, and contract claims, and supporting the delivery of timely interim and final valuations.
You will interact with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure transparent reporting and accurate measurement. By applying best practices in cost engineering, risk assessment, and procurement strategy, you will help optimize project value while safeguarding schedule and quality. Responsibility
- Lead cost management and cost control across diverse construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and value for money.
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts; perform quantity take-offs and BOQ development.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and provide cost advice to support procurement and contract strategy.
- Monitor variations, change orders, and contract claims; maintain accurate cost reporting and financial records.
- Coordinate with project teams to deliver timely interim and final valuations and payments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, contracts, and standards; support risk management and value engineering.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (clients, contractors, suppliers) to drive continuous improvement and project profitability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as RICS, CPI or PQS (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry; experience in a staff or junior role is welcome.
- Proficiency with cost estimation software (CostX, WinQS) and advanced Excel; familiarity with BIM is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of Indonesian regulations, contracts, and procurement processes; excellent communication and teamwork.
- Fluent in English and Indonesian; ability to work with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
