Responsibility
- Officiate assigned matches in a fair, impartial, and consistent manner
- Enforce match rules, manage player and coach conduct, and maintain game safety
- Make decisive, accurate on-field and in-event decisions
- Communicate effectively with assistant referees, fourth official, and venue staff
- Maintain match reports, record incidents, and provide timely feedback
- Prepare for games with pre-match checks and briefings
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
- Collaborate with league officials to implement rule updates and ensure compliance
Qualification
- Current referee certification from a recognized governing body (eg FA/UEFA equivalent)
- Proven experience officiating at grassroots, amateur, or semi-professional levels
- Strong knowledge of the laws of the game and decision-making under pressure
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and varying travel schedules
- First aid certification and a focus on player safety
- Reliable, punctual, and physically fit to endure multi-hour officiating duties
