This role sits within Munich Reinsurance’s Life and Health Regional Structured Solutions team and offers a dynamic, intellectually stimulating environment for actuaries who thrive in complex product design, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration across markets in Asia-Pacific. As a Regional Actuary focusing on Structured Solutions, you will combine actuarial rigor with strategic thinking to deliver innovative, value-driven solutions for clients and partners.
You will be a key bridge between business development, pricing, risk management, and client delivery, translating sophisticated models into actionable insights and robust pricing strategies. The role emphasizes leadership in regional initiatives, regulatory alignment, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced, results-driven culture.
What you will do includes leading life and health Structured Solutions projects, developing pricing frameworks and risk models, challenging assumptions with data-driven analysis, and contributing to governance, documentation, and stakeholder communications. You will also mentor junior actuaries and collaborate with regional teams to ensure consistency and excellence across markets.

Responsibility
- Lead and oversee regional Structured Solutions initiatives for life and health products across Asia-Pacific markets.
- Develop pricing frameworks, actuarial assumptions, and risk models aligned with business goals and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across product, underwriting, risk, and finance to deliver end-to-end solution designs.
- Translate complex models into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior management and clients.
- Drive governance, model validation, documentation, and quality control for pricing and risk assessment processes.
- Mentor and coach junior actuaries, building regional capability and knowledge transfer.
- Support business development, bids, and client engagements with compelling actuarial storytelling and data-driven analysis.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging products, and regulatory developments affecting structured solutions in the region.
Qualification
- Qualified actuary with strong background in life and health insurance; Fellowship from global actuarial bodies is preferred.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in APAC or international markets, with exposure to structured solutions and pricing.
- Proficient in actuarial modelling software (Prophet, MoSes, or similar) and data tools (Excel, SQL, Python).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and business partnering capabilities across diverse markets.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and governance for pricing and product design in Singapore and APAC.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Team leadership or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
