As a pivotal member of our acute care team, you will deliver high-quality nursing care, advocate for patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to ensure excellent outcomes.
Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care across adult medical-surgical units, maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, and document in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage IV therapies, wound care, and catheterizations as required.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and pain management.
- Participate in rounds and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership in clinical areas, precept new hires, and uphold patient safety standards.
Qualification
- Massachusetts RN license in good standing or active compact license.
- BSN preferred; ADN with commitment to pursue BSN considered.
- 1-3 years of acute care or medical-surgical experience.
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EPIC or similar) and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Strong patient-centered approach and commitment to quality care.
