Responsibility
- Provide direct nursing care in the acute care setting, including assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care.
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and manage pain and symptom control in collaboration with the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, therapists, and case managers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage IV therapy, wound care, and complex clinical interventions as required.
- Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure safe transitions of care.
Qualification
- Current California RN license in good standing.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing with 2+ years of acute care experience considered.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
- Active BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire (recommended).
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic or similar) and strong documentation discipline.
