Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician orders and hospital policy.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Document accurately in electronic health records and maintain chart integrity.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and post-discharge care.
- Uphold safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance at all times.
Qualification
- Current California RN license in good standing.
- BSN is preferred; ADN with commitment to ongoing education considered.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or similar inpatient experience.
- CPR/BLS required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with electronic health records; experience with Epic or equivalent systems is a plus.
