Responsibility
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a timely and evidence-based manner.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, while monitoring for adverse effects.
- Coordinate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow and discharge planning.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain charting compliance.
- Provide patient and family education to support understanding of diagnoses and post-discharge care.
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety.
- Mentor and support junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Prioritize infection control and maintain a clean, safe unit environment.
Qualification
- Current Registered Nurse license in New York or eligibility for licensure.
- BSN preferred; ADN considered with relevant acute care experience.
- CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred for certain units.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning.
