Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate charting in the EMR and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocol reviews.
- Provide a positive, patient-centered environment and mentor junior staff as needed.
Qualification
- Current RN license in New York or compact state; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience or ICU/ER exposure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.
