Responsibility
- Perform initial patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in condition.
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, injections, and wound care.
- Assist with procedures, patient positioning, and post-procedure care.
- Document care and clinical observations accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, discharge plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in care coordination, rounds, and smooth handoffs to oncoming shifts.
Qualification
- Active RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure in MA (compact license strongly preferred).
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted with 2+ years of acute care experience.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute or hospital setting.
- BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
