Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, including triage and initial assessment.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate timely and safe patient care.
- Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Monitor vital signs, identify critical changes, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families on condition management, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Ensure patient safety and comply with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualification
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- BSN preferred or equivalent clinical experience in emergency care.
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience or demonstrated high-acuity clinical skills.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications;Advanced certifications welcomed.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and rapid problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt to evolving patient needs, and manage multiple priorities.
