Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and direct care for adult and geriatric inpatients.
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions according to physician orders; document accurately in the EHR.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret data, recognize early warning signs, and respond to emergencies promptly.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and case management.
- Support discharge planning, patient education, and safe transitions to home or another care setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record while ensuring HIPAA and nursing standards compliance.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and experience.
Qualification
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted with commitment to pursuing BSN within two years.
- Minimum 1-3 years of acute care or equivalent clinical experience.
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) such as EPIC and HIPAA compliance.
