Responsibility
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, assess conditions, and respond to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop and execute individual care plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record with accuracy.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking, prioritization, and crisis management in fast-paced environments.
Qualification
- Current California RN license with no encumbrances
- BSN degree preferred; ADN accepted with relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or hospital nursing experience
- BLS certification; ACLS encouraged or required per unit
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records; EPIC experience a plus
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
