Responsibility

  • Provide direct patient care in acute care units, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions and vital signs; respond rapidly to changes in clinical status.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Advocate for patient safety, pain management, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care and discharge planning.

Qualification

  • Current California RN license (Board of Nursing) in good standing.
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted with relevant acute care experience.
  • Basic Life Support BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or required per unit policy.
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities; ability to educate patients and families.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
