Bayview Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care team in San Francisco. As an RN on our unit, you will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient status, and ensure safe, effective treatments from admission through discharge.

Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care in acute care units, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and vital signs; respond rapidly to changes in clinical status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Advocate for patient safety, pain management, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care and discharge planning.
Qualification
- Current California RN license (Board of Nursing) in good standing.
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted with relevant acute care experience.
- Basic Life Support BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or required per unit policy.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities; ability to educate patients and families.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
