Responsibility
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients in acute care settings.
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, therapies, and IV treatments following protocols and physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team.
- Document all clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and support staff to coordinate timely discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety rounds, and ongoing professional development.
Qualification
- Current Texas RN license or compact state license; excellent standing with the Board of Nursing.
- BSN preferred; associate degree in nursing with a commitment to ongoing education considered.
- Minimum 2-3 years of acute care or hospital nursing experience; new graduates may apply for residency programs.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications; proficient in medication administration and safety protocols.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills; proficient with EMR systems.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a patient-first mindset.
- Commitment to patient advocacy, infection control, and high-quality care.
