As an RN in our acute care unit, you will provide direct patient care, coordinate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, and advocate for patient safety and comfort.
Responsibility
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the acute care setting in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, respond to changes in status, and document accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, including IV therapy, injections, and wound care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure infection prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Document nursing assessments and care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualification
- Current WA RN license in good standing.
- BSN preferred; ADN with a commitment to obtain BSN will be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or critical care experience.
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred or as required by unit policy.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; patient- and family-centered approach.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation standards.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shift changes.
