As an RN with Lakeside, you will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure exceptional clinical outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and HIPAA compliance. Candidates should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to continuing education.
Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation of vitals, symptoms, and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions and document in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring patient safety and smooth transitions.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards).
- Mentor and support junior staff and students; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or eligibility for licensure by endorsement.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with strong clinical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care, med-surg, or family practice nursing experience.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation; strong computer literacy.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and bedside manner; ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain composure under pressure.
- Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations; demonstrated commitment to patient safety.
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus.
