Responsibility
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care across units, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed; monitor for adverse events and respond promptly.
- Monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and document patient status accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, and support staff to develop and execute individual care plans.
- Coordinate discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up to optimize recovery and reduce readmissions.
- Maintain unit safety, infection control, and quality of care standards; advocate for patient safety at all times.
- Mentor junior staff and participate in ongoing continuing education and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Current California RN license and compliance with all state board requirements.
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain within 90 days.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic or equivalent) and basic computer skills.
