Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vitals, performing comprehensive assessments, and symptom management.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and maintain meticulous charting.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, discharge instructions, and post-acute care planning.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and ongoing staff training.
- Mentor and support junior staff and students as assigned, fostering a positive team environment.
Qualification
- Active RN license in Texas or eligible for licensure by endorsement; BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and nursing documentation standards.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care philosophy.
- Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and continuous learning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
