Aurora Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit team in downtown Austin.

Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care to ICU patients with complex and critical conditions.
- Continuously monitor patient status, interpret hemodynamic data, and respond to changes in condition.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and life-support interventions following protocols and safety standards.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and post-discharge needs.
- Collaborate with specialists, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Mentor and support junior staff, participate in rounding, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Current Texas RN license in good standing (or eligibility to practice).
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with MICU/ICU experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications required; additional certifications (CCRN, PALS) a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; patient- and family-centered care focus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
