Responsibility

  • Provide direct patient care across the Medical-Surgical unit, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient status.
  • Administer medications and manage IV therapy in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans and coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Maintain infection control standards, safety protocols, and chart accuracy in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Respond to clinical changes and emergencies with critical thinking and decisive action.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Qualification

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Washington (or eligible for licensure).
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN acceptable with plan for continued education.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required per unit policy.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience or equivalent clinical rotation.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EPIC or similar) and medication administration.
  • Commitment to patient safety, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
