Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care across the Medical-Surgical unit, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient status.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans and coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Maintain infection control standards, safety protocols, and chart accuracy in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies with critical thinking and decisive action.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualification
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Washington (or eligible for licensure).
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN acceptable with plan for continued education.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required per unit policy.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience or equivalent clinical rotation.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EPIC or similar) and medication administration.
- Commitment to patient safety, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and teamwork.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
