Responsibility
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, deliver medications and treatments, and document in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Administer IV therapies, wound care, pain management, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory standards (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualification
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or an active compact state license
- BSN or higher preferred; ADN accepted with commitment to continued education
- 1-3 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and standard nursing software
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Dedication to patient-centered care, teamwork, and evidence-based practice
