Responsibility
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse patient population.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, and manage adverse events.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and wellness strategies.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotations and unit-based quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
Qualification
- Active NY Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted with 2+ years of RN experience in a similar setting.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS may be required for certain units.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; patient- and family-centered care mindset.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
