Responsibility
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients in assigned unit in alignment with care plans
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and promptly report changes
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Document accurately in the electronic health record and ensure patient privacy and safety
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control and safety protocols
- Demonstrate leadership and mentor newer staff as needed
Qualification
- Current RN license in Washington state or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification; ACLS for appropriate units
- BSN degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with diverse teams
- Proficiency with electronic health records such as Epic or Cerner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to shift work
