As a Registered Nurse, you’ll apply clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across units such as medical-surgical, telemetry, and ICU. You’ll collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibility
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, document findings, and escalate changes when necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with a focus on safety and accuracy.
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and nurses to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Monitor vital signs, respond to emergencies, and provide timely interventions.
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, and overall patient comfort measures.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, and self-care.
- Ensure accurate charting in the EMR and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- California RN license in good standing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience; specialty area is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient advocacy.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and standard clinical software.
- BLS required; ACLS certification preferred or as unit policy requires.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Active immunizations and health screenings per hospital policy.
