Responsibility
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Advise patients and families, ensuring clear understanding of procedures and expectations.
- Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain high standards of safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior staff, students, and new hires as part of the unit's education program.
Qualification
- Current RN license in Washington state or eligibility for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; associates acceptable with a path to BSN within 2 years.
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient or acute care experience (ER, ICU, medical-surgical).
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; patient advocacy focus.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
